Stephen P. Smythe, D.M.D.
Dentist
Dr. Stephen Smythe is a 1988 graduate of the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. He entered private practice with his father the same year. As a 3rd generation dentist, Dr. Smythe combines the latest advancements in dentistry with old fashion care and concern. Throughout 24 years in his South end dental practice, Dr. Smythe has consistently maintained the highest level of expertise by frequently attending countless conferences and advanced training on the latest dentistry has to offer. Dr. Smythe also enjoys sailing, scuba diving and spending time with his son and three daughters.

 

Kimberly Smythe, E.D.D.A.
Practice Manager, Dental Assistant
Kim joined our practice in 1983 and enjoys helping our patients maintain health and a great smile. Kim grew up in the area attending St. Denis and Butler High School. Kim graduated from the Louisville College of Dental Assisting and has achieved the highest level of training available for dental assisting and dental office management. She also received certificates from the University of Louisville in Radiology Technique and Safety, Expanded Duties Dental Assisting and Coronal Polishing. Kim enjoys cooking, interior decorating, being with family and friends, and raising her 4 children.

Karen Newton
Practice Manager Patient Coordinator
Karen spent 23 year making the friendly skys friendlier at Northwest Airlines customer care. Now she enjoys treating everyone like first class, assisting our patients in maintaining health and a great smile. Karen grew up in the area attending St. Denis and Western High School. She is a professional photographer, enjoys spending time with friends, relaxing at the beach and raising her two sons.
 
Alision Williams R.D.H.
Dental Hygienist
Ali graduated in 2001 with an Associate of Science with highest distinction, then went on to graduate, number one in her class, with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene , Sigma Cum Laude from the Western Kentucky University. Ali volunteers for the "Smile Kentuckiana" program and stays active as a national dance team coach, marathon runner and mother.

Ashton Cornwell R.D.H.
Dental Hygienist
Ashton attended Transylvania University as well as the University of Kentucky. She graduated in 2003 from University of Kentucky with an Associate of Science in Dental Hygiene. Ashton attributes her love of dentistry to her father, a dentist himself. Growing up in and around dentistry contributed to her passion for dentistry and a commitment to excellence and patient care. Ashton recently married in Jamaica, enjoys working out, cooking and gardening.
  
Samantha Adams, E.D.D.A.
Dental Assistant
Samantha has succeeded in achieving the highest level of training a dental assistant can attain. Her natural ability, training and comforting gentle touch make her an extraordinary dental assistant. Samantha has gone on to expand her abilities by continuing education and experience in all aspects of dentistry. She enjoys working out to Zumba and is a true lover of the outdoors. Samantha is an avid hunter, fisherman and conservationist.
